Privacy Policy

Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how MSE collects, uses, stores, and protects information relating to Users of this Platform. It should be read together with MSE's Terms of Use and any other applicable policy. This Policy governs only this Platform and does not extend to any third-party website linked from it.

Information We Collect

A User may browse most parts of the Platform without disclosing any personal information. Certain services - such as account-based facilities, portfolio-tracking tools, grievance submission, or career applications - require the User to voluntarily provide personal details such as name, contact number, email address, PAN, or other identifiers ("Personal Information") strictly for the purpose for which the facility is availed ("Specified Purpose").

MSE also collects limited technical information automatically - such as IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited - on an aggregated and anonymised basis, to help monitor Platform performance, security, and usage trends. This technical information is not used to identify an individual User.

Basis and Use of Information

Any Personal Information voluntarily submitted by a User is provided on an "as-is" basis; MSE does not verify or vouch for its accuracy unless expressly required to do so as part of a regulatory process. Personal Information is used strictly for the Specified Purpose and is not used for any unrelated commercial purpose.

If a User declines to provide the Personal Information necessary for a particular facility, MSE may not be able to make that facility available to the User.

Disclosure to Third Parties

MSE does not sell, rent, or trade Personal Information. Personal Information may be shared only in the following circumstances:

  • with the User's specific request or consent;
  • with vendors or service providers engaged by MSE under binding confidentiality obligations, solely to deliver the Specified Purpose;
  • in response to a valid order of a court, regulator (including SEBI), or other competent authority;
  • to investigate or prevent suspected fraud, security incidents, or other unlawful activity, or to protect the safety of any person;
  • to establish, exercise, or defend MSE's legal rights.

User Consent and Account Control

Where a facility requires authentication (for example, via One-Time Password), the User's use of that facility constitutes consent to MSE accessing the minimum information necessary to authenticate and deliver that facility. Users are solely responsible for safeguarding their login credentials and must not share them with any unauthorised person.

A User may request correction or deletion of their Personal Information at any time by writing to MSE through the grievance channel below. MSE will act on verified requests within a reasonable time, though discontinuation of Personal Information may result in discontinuation of the related facility. MSE reserves the right to require reasonable proof of identity before acting on such a request.

Retention

Personal Information is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfil the Specified Purpose, or for such longer period as may be required under applicable law, SEBI regulation, or MSE's record-retention policy.

Children

This Platform is not directed at, or intended for use by, individuals under 18 years of age. Parents or guardians should ensure that minors do not submit Personal Information through this Platform.

Data Security

MSE adopts reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, consistent with industry practice, to protect Personal Information against unauthorised access, alteration, or loss. However, no system can be guaranteed as completely secure, and MSE cannot warrant absolute protection against cyber-attacks, malware, or unauthorised intrusion. In the event of a suspected security incident, MSE reserves the right to use available technical information (such as IP address and access logs) to investigate, contain, and remediate the incident, including restricting access where necessary.

Cookies

The Platform may use cookies to recognise returning Users and improve browsing experience. Cookies used by MSE do not themselves collect Personal Information, though they may identify a User's device. Users may configure their browser to reject cookies; doing so may limit certain Platform features. MSE does not control cookies set by third-party content embedded on the Platform, if any.

Links to Other Sites

Where this Platform links to third-party websites or applications, such sites are governed by their own privacy policies. MSE is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of any linked third-party site.

Changes to this Policy

MSE may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. The revised Policy takes effect upon posting to the Platform, unless stated otherwise. Continued use of the Platform after a revision constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy. Users are encouraged to review this Policy periodically.
